How to program your adruino dcc decoder

 

All of our products that are sold with an Arduino come preloaded with a sketch, with the starting address of 1 unless specified otherwise.

You only need to follow the steps below if you want to change the DCC Address. 

 

Step by step

  • Install Drivers / Select Nano
  • Edit the code
  • Verify / Compile & Upload

Scroll below and open the tab with the sketch you want to use. Click "Open Code". This will open a new page.

On the new page, Click "Add to my sketchbook"

Sign in / Register.

Once registered you will prompted to a quick tour. Select "No, Thanks"

You will then see the the sktech in your account.

Click the "HELP" button at the top

Click "INSTALL THE PLUGIN"

Click "DOWNLOAD"

OPEN AND INSTALL THE DOWNLOAD FILE. ONCE DONE YOU SHOULD SEE THIS. Click "go to web editor"

Plug your USB cable into your Arduino Nano and Your Computer

Select the Arduino Nano from the top drop down menu

Ensure it matches this image. Note: Your port number may be different.

Edit the DCC Address (servo) Only change this number. Keep any formatting.

Edit the DCC Address (relay) Only change this number. Keep any formatting.

Press the "Tick"

Press the "Right Hand Arrow". Wait until you see the "Success" green banner at the bottom. You have successfully changed the DCC Address!
